Odds and Ends had fun earlier this fall at Utah Lake with one of our brides, Ashely. She picked a great piece from our inventory for her photo shoot with Lora Grady Photography. I love how one chair can so gorgeous, love it! The pictures are amazing! Ashley and Paul picked out different antiques and vintage items for their wedding day as well. Keep an eye for another post with these soon! -J

Rebecca & Bryan
It is coming close to Thanksgiving, and the snow is falling. Backyard wedding season has retired for now, and Northern Utah has to migrate inside. Yesterday I traveled to a reception center called Highland Gardens for Rebecca and Bryan's wedding reception. If you are still in love with the warm outdoors, but find that you have to keep your guests inside this is a great place! This reception center is a beautiful green-house. To add to this, Rebecca took some of our inventory to add vintage accents to her reception. It looked beautiful and I wish her and her husband the best! -J

Shabby Chic Couch
Happy Weekend Everyone! I wanted to share a recent photo shoot that I did with Chelsy Ann Photography. Chelsy does great work and I needed updated pictures, so we recently collaborated. But if you know me, a photo shoot is not as much fun with out some thing vintage... so we added a a gold shabby chic couch. I wanted to share some of the pics from this project to offer up a starting place for your own creative ideas. What would you do with a couch in your engagements, or family pictures? This couch will soon be up on our website for rental along with all of our others. I think this is a great piece because it is unique; it has worn fabric and some stitching that's missing. But, that is what makes this couch so unique and "shabby chic". Some things look gorgeous when you have a little history left behind on them. Don't believe me? Check it out!

Origami Owl
Last week a friend of mine rented one of Odds and Ends frames for a boutique display. Origami Owl is the name of the company and they sell some really cute jewelery. I love when others find new ways to use our inventory! The set of white distressed frames seem to be some of my favorites and the ideas are endless with these. If you have a frame at home that you love, why not try this idea as a new kind of jewelery box? You take tacks and apply on the back of the frame to hang all of your necklaces (then they don't tangle, either)! So even if you don't have a reason to rent a frame, this is a great way to use a frame you love at home! -J
