The Future of Odds and Ends

I have been considering my future for some time now.  Personal health and family are my priorities in this life.   After the past few amazing and successful years I have decided to close this chapter.  I will never regret the lessons I have learned and those friendships and connections made.  Antiques are my passion and obsession, it’s been fun learning that so many of you share my enthusiasm.  I have had three successful summers; and as my business kept expanding I came to a fork in the road.

I had a humbling experience in 2013 as I was diagnosed with Lupus.  This never stopped me from pursuing my passion, but it taught me to focus on what matters most while not stretching myself too thin.  Odds and Ends continues to need of my daily efforts and attention, without I will not be able to keep up with our growth.  I love this company and have put blood, sweat, and tears into my passion for antiques.  But, I also have found myself this year and realized I want to further my education and have a family.

I am not giving up, I am not quitting.  I am stepping back to see what I have accomplished and close the door on a successful chapter of my life.  This is a new beginning for me.  I look ahead excited, for when one door closes another opens.  In the end I hope you all understand.  I appreciate every opportunity I have been given and all the memories I have made.  I had the opportunity to work with countless creative, hardworking individuals and companies.  To you I am grateful.

When I wrap up an event, I always wish my clients a happy life ahead.  I never want to leave without saying goodbye and letting them know I appreciate their business.  So here is to all of you I have had the opportunity to work with: brides, mothers, photographers, decorators, and everyone in between.  I wish you the best in all your future endeavors, as I hope you would do the same for me.  Odds and Ends is closing its doors on a fulfilled and accomplished note.  It has been an honor to start up my own company and see it grow.  Thank you to all.  I look forward to my new beginning and what lies ahead.
